How do I get my Jagtag?
Beginning March 13, 2017, employees and/or their departments are no longer required to pay for the initial Campus ID (Jagtag/CrimsonCard). Once a new employee becomes ‘active’ in the HRMS system, simply come to the Card Services Office, bring a gov’t issued photo ID and the CrimsonCard will be created.
As an IUPUI employee there are three easy steps to getting your Jagtag.
1. You must be considered an "Active" employee, meaning all of your hire paperwork has been completed, submitted and approved. To save yourself some time check your status prior to coming to the Jagtag Office by clicking on the Check Employee Status link and entering your University ID number. If you are "Active" then you are set and can skip down to Step 2.
If your status appears "Inactive" then we don't yet recognize you in the system. Please wait 24 hours and check your status again, or you may contact your supervisor to see if there may be a hold up with your paperwork.
2. Once you are "Active" ask your department if they cover the Cost of your Jagtag. If they do, have them complete the Expense Authorization Form and bring it along with you. Otherwise, you will be responsible for the cost of your Jagtag at the time of your visit.
3. Finally, visit the Jagtag Office located in the IUPUI Campus Center, Suite #217,bring a photo ID and the completed Expense Authorization Form (if needed) and we will issue you your Jagtag. Come prepared to have your photo taken!
If I am a campus affiliate, how can I get a Jagtag?
A campus affiliate is a person who works on campus or with the University but is not paid by IU. Examples of an affiliate would be IU Health employees, visiting scholars, employees who work for Barnes & Noble @ IUPUI, IKON or IUPUI Food Service.
If you are an affiliate and need a Jagtag, you will need to provide
written notification from your department on departmental letterhead stating your University
status and need for a Jagtag. Bring in that letter along with a photo ID and your Jagtag
will be issued. If your employer will be paying for your Jagtag or any accessories, please bring in the completed
Form. If not, you will be responsible for the cost of your Jagtag and any accessories.
